Interdisciplinary Breast Center Conference was held March 24-28, 2023, in Las Vegas, NV, and Dr. Stamatia Destounis from Elizabeth Wende Breast Care (EWBC) was an invited speaker.
The three-day conference covered timely topics with 200+ lectures and 90+ world-renowned speakers. The conference has specific lecture tracks for individuals from all aspects of the breast care team, including radiologists, surgeons, pathologists, technologists, patient navigators, and genetic counselors, among other breast health specialists. In addition, Dr. Destounis presented topics she is well versed in, āStrategies to Optimize Workflow at the Breast Centerā and āDense Breasts: Risk and Strategies for Screening,ā as part of daily break-out sessions.
In the Exhibitor Hall were a variety of breast health vendors, allowing them the opportunity to showcase new products and be available for questions from attendees.
Dr. Destounis visited with a group of Mammography Educators who provide services for mammography facilities/technologists. The group is committed to providing high-quality training for technologists through mammography consulting, conferences, and in-person or online training.
Dr. Destounis and Elizabeth Wende Breast Care are committed to providing education to both the local and national community, as well as staying up to date on the latest topics and research in the field of breast imaging, to ultimately ensure that we are providing the best possible care to our patients.
