The Position:

Seeking an energetic and compassionate Patient Service Representative for a full-time position, (M-F, 8:30 am-5 pm), in a fast-paced breast imaging facility. The ability to multi-task and attention to detail is important in this role.

General Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Schedule appointments
  • Check in patients
  • Verify and update patient information in the EHR system
  • Collect co-pays and deductibles from patients at time of appointment

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years medical office experience preferred
  •  Excellent customer service and strong communication skills
  •  Basic computer knowledge necessary; familiarity with electronic medical health care record systems beneficial
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

 

The Position:

We are looking to add a sonographer to our exceptional sonographer team to deliver quality patient care while performing diagnostic and screening breast ultrasounds and related diagnostic procedures. The candidate must have the ability to independently operate ultrasound equipment and assist physicians in the diagnosis process. The sonographer will receive extensive training upon hire. The position offers full-time days, with shifts ending no later than 5:30 pm; no call, holidays, or weekends.

General Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Contribute to quality patient care while performing ultrasound procedures
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to perform screening breast ultrasounds
  • Occasionally perform procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease (FNAC, cyst aspirations, and ultrasound core biopsy)
  • Correlate mammographic and MRI information with ultrasound examinations
  • Use independent judgment during the ultrasound exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathological findings
  • Complete medical billing forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of daily work performed
  • Efficiently and accurately scan 20 patients per 8-hour workday (this expectation is liable to change, within reason, to meet workflow demands)
  • Reports directly to Ultrasound Department Manager

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
  • Registry eligible upon graduation
  • Required to pass ARDMS Breast board exam within six months of hire
  • Basic computer knowledge necessary; familiarity with EHR and PACS systems beneficial
  • Ability to maintain excellent customer service skills in a high-volume facility

The Position

  • Full time, M-F, 8:30 am-5:00 pm, no holidays or weekends
  • We are looking for a responsible, detail-oriented, enthusiastic Medical Records Specialist to join our Records department

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meticulously maintaining physical and electronic patient records
  • Assisting patients and outside facilities with the transfer of records
  • Accurately scanning records into patients’ electronic health records
  • Must adhere to HIPAA regulations and policies

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or higher preferred, but not mandatory
  • A valid New York State Driver’s License is required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

General Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Monitor department workflow
  • Current with ICD-10 diagnoses and CPT4 procedures
  • Oversee the operations of the billing department, encompassing medical coding, charge entry, claims submissions, payment posting, accounts receivable follow-up, and reimbursement management.
  •  Analyze billing and claims for accuracy and completeness; submit claims and follow up on any issues/denials.
  • Understand and keep updated with current coding and billing regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Supervise billing office personnel, including work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluate performance and motivate employees.

Qualifications:

  • Requires strong managerial, leadership, and business skills
  • Prioritizes and plans work activities, Uses time efficiently
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (business, accounting, finance)
  • CMC or CPC preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and internal personal skills

The Position:

We are looking for a full-time Radiologic Technologist with mammography experience preferred but willing to train. The position offers full-time days, no weekends, no evening calls.

General Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Contribute to quality patient care while delivering mammography procedures
  • Operates radiologic equipment and performs procedures to assist physicians in diagnosis of disease
  • Review images for quality control
  • Troubleshoot equipment as needed

Qualifications:

  • Two-year program with ARRT registration and New York State licensed
  • Basic computer knowledge necessary; familiarity with EHR and PACS systems beneficial
  • Ability to maintain great customer service skills in a high-volume facility

The administrative assistant will perform the daily administrative duties that serve our high-risk patients. They are responsible for obtaining patients’ personal or family history and informing them of the MRI and genetic counseling services available at EWBC. They aid our physicians, genetic counselor, and MRI technologist by answering phones, scheduling appointments, and preparing medical records.

General Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Answer phone calls from patients and doctors’ offices
  •  Screen patients and schedule appointments
  •  Identify high-risk patients and newly diagnosed patients-coordinate GT and MRI appointments
  • Check-in patients in both MRI and Genetics
  • Knowledge national screening/testing guidelines/individual insurance coverage criteria
  • Inform patients of risk factors and services available
  • Call patients with negative genetic testing results
  • Obtain insurance prior-authorizations
    Monitor daily dashboards
  • Day-ahead patient chart prep
  • Electronic billing of services
  • Review MRI eligibility
  • Maintain cancellation list and enter patient recalls
  • Review core log and notify patients of genetics and/or MRI eligibility
  • Upload and track genetic test results
  • Prepare, package, and enter demographics for blood and buccal specimens
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in the medical field
  • 2+ years experience working in healthcare practice or hospital
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality

  • Superior customer service skills
  • Basic understanding of computer technology

Performance Standards

High-Risk Administrative Assistants are expected to perform well in a team environment, also possessing the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The expectation is that the needs of the patient are always the priority. The ability to multitask and attention to detail is essential in this role. This position reports directly to the High-Risk Department Manager.
