Jessica Salamone, ScM, CGC (Certified Genetic Counselor) has served as the Director of Genetic Counseling and Cancer Risk Assessment at Elizabeth Wende Breast Care (EWBC) in Rochester, NY since 2012. Ms. Salamone attended RIT where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology in 1999. She received a Master of Science in Genetic Counseling in 2002 from the National Institutes of Health and Johns Hopkins University Genetic Counseling Training Program. She became a Board Certified Genetic Counselor in 2005.
Before joining EWBC, Ms. Salamone worked at the University of Rochester Medical Center for 10 years where she provided genetic counseling to patients in a variety of clinical settings including reproductive, pediatric and cancer genetics. Ms. Salamone has also been adjunct faculty at RIT since 2002, where she teaches medical genetics and introductory genetic counseling courses.
