ACRIN DMIST

EWBC proudly participated in the "Breast Cancer (DMIST) - Screening with Digital Mammography" clinical trial and enrolled over 2,900 participants.

ACRIN MRI

EWBC participated in the "MRI Evaluation of the Contralateral Breast in Women with a Recent Diagnosis of Breast Cancer" clinical trial and enrolled 28 patients.

Computer Aided Detection (CAD)

The clinical trial evaluating computer aided detection “Can computer-aided detection with double reading of screening mammograms help decrease the false-negative rate?” was performed at EWBC in 2000. The findings of the study can be reviewed in Radiology. 232(2):578-84, 2004 Aug.

Another CAD study "Computer Aided Detection in Screening Mammography: Prospective Double Blinded Study in a Clinical Practice" was conducted at EWBC enrolling over 19,000 cases. Publication is pending.

Automated Screening Breast Ultrasound

 

EWBC participated in the clinical trial "Full-Field Breast Ultrasound-C (F-FBU-C) Prospective, Multi-Center Clinical Data Collection Program" (SomoVu, U-Systems, Inc.). Screening mammography participants were enrolled and evaluated prospectively with an automated breast ultrasound system.
