ACRIN Breast MRI Study

 

MRI Evaluation of the Contralateral Breast in Women with a Recent Diagnosis of Breast Cancer

ACRIN Protocol 6667

The main objective of this study is to determine the value of using Breast MRI as a screening tool in detecting contralateral breast cancers in women who are already diagnosed as having a unilateral breast cancer. EWBC was proud to have been one of the facilities responsible for accruing the breast MRI exams and patients for this study. Study accrual has been completed and 24-month follow-up is currently being performed on these patients.
