Waiting for the results of a screening mammogram can be a stressful and nerve-wracking time, even for the most calm and tolerant patient.

With that in mind, EWBC has tried for years to help make that wait time as comfortable and relaxing as possible for our patients.  Recently, we have added the services of a licensed massage therapist. Neck and shoulder massages are offered to all of our patients at a cost of $10 for a 10-minute massage. Ten percent of that fee is donated to local breast cancer charities. Patients can relax and de-stress, with the added bonus of giving to a community cause.

In addition, we offer free coffee and tea to patients and their families, and snacks are available. Our patients can peruse our mini “gift shop” of jewelry and other items that help support breast cancer organizations in our area. Wireless internet service is available in all of our waiting areas for both patients and their families
