Philip Murphy, M.D.
Dr. Murphy attended medical school at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, and completed his radiology residency at the University of Rochester - Strong Memorial Hospital. He served in the United States Air Force for four years as Chief of Radiology at Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson , AZ. Before coming to EWBC in 2004, Dr. Murphy was a staff member at the Cleveland Clinic Breast Center in Cleveland , OH , and was most recently the Director of Women's Imaging at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ. Currently, Dr. Murphy is Vice-president of the Rochester Roentgen Ray Society and has been teaching Residency Board Reviews at U of R since 2004.
Dr. Murphy's special interests include breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and image-guided breast biopsy. He is the co-principal investigator of the research on breast tomosynthesis that is currently being performed at EWBC.
